Where should I put my Access database?

Problem:

Where should I put my Access database?

Solution:

There are two suggested locations to store your access database:

1. In the db folder, accessible byftping into your account, it's located in your home directory.

2. If you're using FrontPage, in the fpdb folder (located inside of your wwwroot). Please note if you put your database in the fpdb you need to test and make sure it's not downloadable with a browser. If you can download the file using a browser you'll need to remove browse permissions from the fpdb folder.

Finally, if you opt to place your database in any other folder you will need to have permissions adjusted on that folder by support. Please make sure you place your database in a folder that contains no other files.
